This item is backed by a 60-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under its intended use. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. 

  1. step : Draining the Transmission Fluid (0:45)
    • Raise and support the vehicle
    • Place a drain bucket under the transmission pan
    • Remove the 8mm bolts from the transmission pan (near the front)
    • Loosen the bolts at end of the transmission pan
    • Allow the transmission fluid to drain
    • Loosen the bolts at the end further
    • Allow the transmission to drain further
    • Remove the last of the bolts
    • Remove the pan
  2. step : Removing the Transmission Filter (2:55)
    • Remove the T25 Torx bolt from the transmission filter
    • Pull off the transmission filter evenly
  3. step : Installing the New Transmission Filter (4:52)
    • Insert the transmission filter into place
    • Tighten the T25 Torx bolt to the filter
  4. step : Cleaning the Transmission Pan (5:05)
    • Remove the magnet from the transmission pan
    • Scrape the gasket residue off the pan with a razor blade
    • Scrape the gasket residue off the pan mounting area with a razor blade
    • Clean the magnet thoroughly
    • Check the transmission for debris
  5. step : Installing the Transmission Pan (7:45)
    • Put the magnet into the transmission pan
    • Put a new gasket or RTV onto the transmission pan
    • Thread two 8mm bolts through the pan and gasket to hold the gasket in place
    • Put the pan into place
    • Tighten the two 8mm bolts
    • Insert the remaining 8mm bolts into the pan
    • If need, allow the gasket to cure
    • Tighten the 8mm bolts to 40 inch-pounds
  6. step : Refilling the Transmission Fluid (11:35)
    • Pull out the transmission dipstick
    • Refill the transmission fluid using a transmission funnel
    • Put the dipstick back
    • Start the engine
    • Check the transmission fluid with the vehicle running
    • Stop the engine
    • Add fluid as necessary
