How long will it take to receive my refund?

Refunds take 3-5 business days to be processed and show in your account after we have received the item back at our fulfillment center.

How do I return an item?
All items sold by 1A Auto come with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product, please fill out our return form to arrange a return.

Can I return the part if I do not need it?
Yes! We have a no hassle return policy that can't be beat. If you are unhappy for any reason, please fill out our return form to arrange a return.

I placed by order using PayPal. Can I change the shipping address?
Due to PayPal's policy, we can only ship to the address on file with PayPal.
Please make sure that the address on file in your PayPal account is up to date. If you have already placed your order, please contact us to cancel the order and process a full refund.

Do you offer Next Day Air shipping?
Yes! If you need expedited shipping, please select Next Day Air under Delivery Methods at checkout.
You can also select 2nd Day Air to receive your package two business days after the initial order date.
Orders must be submitted before 4pm ET, Monday-Friday, or items will ship the following business day.


How long will it take to get my item?
99% of in-stock orders received by 4pm ET Monday through Friday will ship the same day. Once it leaves our fulfillment center, it should take between 3-5 business days to reach you for standard shipping, depending on your location. To track your order, we’ll provide a tracking number in an email. Check the progress of your order here.

Why do I need a street address to receive an item that weighs over eight pounds?

Unfortunately, we can't ship a package that weighs over eight pounds to a PO box. An item over this weight limit will have to be shipped to a street address.

If you rent a PO box and don’t have an alternative street address we can ship to, many post offices offer a service you can sign up for that will let you to use their street address along with your PO box number as a mailing address. Ask a rep at your local post office to see if they offer a street address service.

Questions about my vehicle

What is a VIN and where can I find it?
The VIN, or Vehicle Identification Number, is a unique serial number located on your vehicle. This 17-digit number encodes information like the country of origin, the year it was built, the engine size, and other types of information. All cars on the road today will have the VIN located on the driver's side dash, visible through the lower windshield outside the vehicle. If this tag is blocked or is not visible, you can also find this number on your vehicle's registration.


What is an RPO code and where can I find it?
Used specifically on GM vehicles, RPO stands for Regular Production Options. The factory uses RPOs to determine which options (like fog lights, heated mirrors, etc.) your vehicle would be equipped with. Since different options can affect how different parts function, we may require this code to verify if a certain part fits your vehicle. You can find these codes on a sheet located either in your glove box, in the center console, on the trunk lid, or under the spare tire cover.


What is an Engine ID and where can I find it?
Most engines will have a metal tab on the outside perimeter of the engine block containing the ID. Some vehicles may have the ID printed on the emissions label under the hood.


What is the production date of my car or truck and where can I find it?
You can usually find the production date on a sticker in the door jamb of the driver's door. If the car has been repainted or the tag has fallen off, your local dealership should be able to provide this info with the help of your VIN.


What is "California emissions?" How do I know if I have it?
Due to stricter emissions requirements in the state of California, most auto manufacturers build cars to specifically meet these regulations. This is often accomplished through changes in exhaust, emission systems, and engine programming. While originally intended for use in California, many of these cars are sold in other states around the country. To check if your vehicle is California emissions equipped, there should be a label under the hood with emissions specifications.


How do I know if I have electronic suspension?
If you can view the top of your strut, you will see a connector and wire stemming from the top if you have electronic suspension.


Are you able to diagnose my vehicle’s issue?
We are happy to provide possible suggestions, but we generally recommend taking your vehicle to a reputable repair shop or dealership for a proper and accurate diagnosis.

Are your auto parts new?
Yes! All of our parts are brand new. They will function and fit just like your original parts did, and maybe even better!


What brand is this part?
If the part has a name brand or is OEM, this will be specified in the listing. Many of the parts we sell are our own 1A Auto brand parts.


Are these universal parts or direct replacements?
Unless otherwise stated, our parts are direct replacements for the parts that came on your vehicle originally. They require no modification to install. If you are unsure if a part will fit your vehicle, you can verify the fit by entering the year, make, and model on the product listing page. How do I know if a part is in stock? The products on our website that specify "In Stock" are currently in stock. Convertible tops, carpets, and upholstery are all custom made to order and take additional time to make and ship.


I can’t find the part I’m looking for?
Although we carry thousands of parts, we are not able to carry every part for every vehicle. If you are having difficulty locating a part, please fill out the form on our Contact Us page and one of our reps will be happy to verify if we carry the part you are looking for.


I can’t find an installation video for the part I purchased?
We have thousands of how-to videos. We are always adding new videos on a weekly basis, but may have not gotten to your specific part yet. Please feel free to contact us and one of our technicians will be happy to provide further assistance.


How do I know if this part fits on the driver's side or passenger's side?
The left side refers to the driver's side, and the right side refers to the passenger's side.


Will this part fit on my vehicle?
All of our products are guaranteed to fit the specific applications listed. You can verify fit by entering the year, make, and model on the product listing page.

What is Proposition 65 and why is it required?

Proposition 65 is a California law enacted in 1986 to inform Californians of and reduce their exposure to chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm in consumer products.

As a company that sells auto parts to customers in the state of California, we are required to present the warnings before their purchase.

Is a product harmful if it has a Prop 65 warning?

Prop 65 warning does not mean the product is harmful, but is there to inform customers that the product contains chemicals known to cause cancer, or birth defects and other reproductive harm.

These products are safe when used as intended.

Questions about tow mirrors

Can I upgrade my standard mirrors to tow mirrors?
The options that are on the replacement mirrors will need to match the options that came with your original mirrors. If you would like to upgrade from your original options, we offer an exclusive line of Trail Ridge mirrors for Trucks and SUVs. Questions about headlights

Are these headlights made of glass or plastic?
Our lighting is made to match the material of the original part. If your original headlights were plastic, our replacements are also plastic. If your original headlights were glass, then our replacements are also made of glass.

Questions about kits

Can I buy parts from a kit separately, but still get the kit price?
We can only offer kit pricing when the entire kit ships together in one package. This greatly reduces the cost of shipping, lowering the overall cost for you.

Questions about carpets

What color carpet will match my car?
Our website will show the closest available options that came stock for your vehicle. Over the years, sunlight will lighten the color of your carpet, so you will want to match your replacement carpet to something that has not been in direct light (usually under your seat or door sill plate is a good place to check). We can also send free samples to you to match up to your vehicle.


How long is the carpet delivery time?
Carpets usually arrive about a week from the time the order has been placed. Tracking info is usually emailed within 2-3 days from the time your order. Since these are made to order, we unfortunately cannot expedite shipping.


Do these carpets come ready to install?
While the carpet will come pre-molded to the factory floor plan, it will not include any cuts. You will need to trim any excess around the edges and make slits for shifters, seats, and belts. We recommend using your old carpet as a template, to make sure cuts are made correctly. Since the carpet comes rolled up for easier shipping, it will need to rest outside of the box for at least 24 hours. This will allow the carpet to regain most of its shape prior to installation.


Does the carpet come with padding?
The amount of padding may differ from the stock carpet, but these carpets will come with padding under the foot wells. You may choose to reuse some of your old padding and the carpet will accept up to a 1/2 inch of additional padding underneath before it begins to cause installation issues.
