  1. step : Removing the Air Intake Hose (0:18)
    • Loosen the hose clamp from the breather hose
    • Slide the breather hose off
    • Loosen the air intake hose clamps with an 8mm socket
    • Slide the hose off of the throttle body and air filter housing
    • Remove the hose
  2. step : Removing the Throttle Body (1:30)
    • Disconnect the wiring harness
    • Remove the four 5mm Allen head bolts
    • Remove the throttle body
  3. step : Installing the Throttle Body (3:27)
    • Spray brake parts cleaner onto a rag
    • Wipe down the mating surface on the intake manifold
    • Press the gasket onto the throttle body
    • Insert the screws into the throttle body
    • Press the throttle body to the intake manifold
    • Tighten the four 5mm Allen bolts
    • Torque the bolts to 64-84 inch-pounds or 5-7 foot-pounds
    • Connect the wiring harness
  4. step : Installing the Air Intake Hose (5:53)
    • Insert the intake hose to air filter housing and the throttle body
    • Tighten the hose clamps on each end with an 8mm socket and ratchet
    • Slide the breather hose on
    • Clamp the hose clamp with needle nose pliers
  5. step : Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning (6:56)
    • Do not depress the accelerator pedal
    • Turn the key to the ON position for atleast 2 seconds
    • Turn the key to the OFF position for 10 seconds
    • Turn the key to the ON position for 2 seconds
    • Turn the key to the OFF position for 10 seconds
  6. step : Throttle Valve Close Position Learning (7:42)
    • Do not depress the accelerator pedal
    • Turn the key to the ON position for 10 seconds
    • Turn the key to the OFF position and listen for the throttle body making a whining sound
  7. step : Idle Air Volume Learning (8:25)
    • Run the vehicle up the operating temperature with the vehicle in park, the steering wheel straightened, and the headlights and A/C and other electrical loads off
    • At idle, make sure the vehicle has more than 12.9 volts at the battery
    • Let the vehicle reach up to temp
    • Turn the vehicle off
    • Let the ignition be off for 10 seconds
    • Do not depress the accelerator pedal
    • Turn the key to the ON position and wait 3 seconds
    • Press the accelerator pedal five times in 5 seconds
    • Wait for 7 seconds
    • Check engine light should flash
    • Hold the accelerator pedal down for 20 seconds
    • Release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds when the engine light stops blinking
    • Start the engine and let it idle
    • Rev the engine a couple of times
    • Confirm the engine returns to the correct idle (around 700 RPM in park for automatic transmission)
    • Confirm there is no check engine light
