Brake Sensors

Your ABS brake or wheel speed sensors are one of the main components in your vehicle's ABS braking system.  In a lot of newer models your ABS brake sensors can also be part of electronic traction control systems and even stability control systems in some trucks and SUVs.  The ABS brake sensors typically mount on or near the wheel hub and bearing assembly.

A defective or malfunctioning ABS sensor will typically set an ABS light on your instrument panel, and trigger an ABS diagnostic code in your vehicles computer.  Some ABS sensors are serviced only as the whole wheel hub bearing assenbly, but most can be serviced and replaced separately.
