Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the driver's side master window switch on this 2004 Dodge Intrepid same as any '98 to '04. Tools you'll need are a Phillips screwdriver, a regular screwdriver and, to get the door panel off, having a flashlight and a magnet will be of help as well.
You're going to start by removing a series of Phillips screws: one with a little screwdriver, one right there, one in your door handle pull right there. You're going to remove your speaker grill by prying out. Pry out your speaker grill and then there are three screws here: one there, one up there, and there should be one there, but it's missing on this car. There's a screw there, screw there and then one on the bottom, two, and three on the bottom. You'll also want to take this little piece of trim, and pull it back and out. We're going to speed it up here as I remove those. It counts to be ten Phillips screws and then at the end here, at the end of the fast motion, you'll see me reach into some of those holes with a little extending magnet to pull the screws out so you don't lose them. Once you have those screws out, then you want to grab back here and give it a good pull and lift your door panel up. Pull out on your lock and it will come off. If you want to remove your panel fully, pull it out and there's a little clip right here on your door handle. The clip comes off it and it comes up and then most of these clips just have little pins on them that you push in. This one has actually a little tab that you can hook with your thumb like that, pull down, it comes out. Then there's two little clips here. Just turn them and pull out.
Looking back here on the door panel, here's the switch. There are three screws. Press your screwdriver down into the speaker padding here, and get this first screw going, until you get it out some. It comes out by hand. There are two more screws right back here. Screws come out. The switch comes out, and then, I'll show you the switch from 1A Auto is exactly the same. It's going to go in there and function exactly the same. The connectors are the same.
This switch is working fine in this vehicle so I am going to just replace or put my original one back in. Put it right back into place. It has little locating tabs. Start the screws.
First, I'm going to reconnect all my harnesses to the speaker and put this back into place here, and then, the harness also has a pin that you put in. Hold the door panel close, I'm just reaching over, inserting my lock rod or my door handle rod and putting the clip on. Now, lift the door panel up, make sure your lock button is coming through here, push the top onto there, and push down. Then make sure the pins over here on the side are lining up and push it into place. We'll fast forward a little bit as I do the three bottom screws first. These middle ones for the speaker are kind of difficult because they're really far back. I'm using a magnet. You can either do this or magnetize your screwdriver. I'm just using this long magnet, putting it back in there, feel for it, and start it with magnet. Do the same thing with this one. If you don't have one of these little extendable magnets, it's a great tool to have. For these ones, it's also not bad to have a flashlight around so you can see where they are and get the screwdriver in there on them. Again, there is another one here, right in here but this car was missing that one. Now, we'll speed up the video again as I do the other eight screws and I do have a little trouble with those screws up on the top, they're deep set in there too and if your water shield shifts around, you're just going to have to pierce through the water shield, just a note for you. Slide your trim panel in on here, push it on. These two tabs that go in first on your speaker grill and then it presses on.

Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing or maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly: that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the master power window switch on this 2004 Dodge Stratus, same as any '01 to '06 Stratus. If your windows stop working on the door . so say your right rear window's not working at the door anymore, but it still works with the master window switch ., that is an indication that either your door switch is going bad, or your master switch is going bad. Tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, a putty knife or a door panel clip tool, and a T20 Torx driver.
Use a small flat blade screwdriver, and down in the pull cup here, pry up a little trap door. There's a Phillips screw in there, and then in behind your door handle there's another Phillips screw in there, and then there's three Phillips screws: one there, there, there, and then one on the back edge here. Just going to fast forward as I use a Phillips screwdriver and remove six screws in all. See this triangle up here? Just pull out. All you need is a putty knife. Get down in behind the door panel here, slide it down, and pull it out. Start to pull the pins. Then the door panel comes up.
Right here is your lock harness, the little button; press on that and disconnect. On your latch rod there's a clip. I'm just reaching in behind with my finger. Pull that clip off, and the rod comes up and off. Then, lastly down here is your window harness. There's a button right in the middle. You've really got to push that button and then work the harness out, and your door panel's off.
Once your door panel's off, you want to check these aqua clip pins here, because there could be pins stuck inside them. Use a pair of needle nose pliers, pull the pins out, and then re-install them on the inside of your door panel.
With your panel off, turn over here and your window switch is right here. It's held in by three T20 Torx screws. I'm using a T20 Torx driver to remove them. There's one right here. Then there's one back in here that's hard to film. Push my driver against the door panel. With those screws out, the switch comes right out.
The new switch from 1A Auto is going to drop right in there. See if I can line it up and put those in. Just speed up here. Carefully get those screws started by hand, and then, again, use your T20 Torx driver to put them in and tighten them up. You don't have to get them extremely tight, just nice and firm to hold it in place.
Get your door panel back on. First reconnect your power window switch, make sure it clicks. Bring it close. Reconnect your power door locks. Take this rod, put it into the hole, and slip the clip right around. Clip it on. Make sure your lock goes through. There is a large locating tab that goes into a big hole. Once you've got that, make sure your pins go in. With the sheet back, make sure all the pins go in correctly. Now, it's just a matter of replacing all the Phillips screws. We'll speed up as we replace all those screws. There was one down in the door cup behind the door panel, three at the bottom, and then one at the back.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace the power window switch panel on this 2004 Chrysler Sebring 4-door sedan. It's the same process on these 4-door sedans from 2001 to 2004. We'll be using a new panel, the switch panel from 1AAuto.com, flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and a T20 Torx driver.
There are two trap doors here. There's one right here behind the door handle and another one here in the pull cup. All you want to do is take a flat blade screwdriver and stick it into the slot on the side of them and just pry them out. Now what you want to do is remove each of these Phillips screws. There are six in total. Just speed up the tape here as we remove those screws. Take your flat blade screwdriver and pry off that triangle panel. To release the clips on the back of the door panel you just want to pull out all the way around the door panel. Once you've done that you can lift it up and off of your door lock knob. In behind the back of the door panel you'll see here's your door handle rod. You just want to pop that clip up and pull that up and out. You want to disconnect the two harnesses here by just pushing in the tab and pulling them out. Now your door panel is free.
You'll see there are three T20 Torx screws that actually secure it to the door panel. Once the screws are removed it just pulls right out. Now to install your new switch panel from 1A Auto you just push it into place and replace those three T20 Torx screws. We're just going to fast forward as Don replaces these.
To reinstall the door panel you just want to take that door handle rod, put it back into place, and reclip it. Then you want to just reconnect your two harnesses. Once you've done that you want to just line up your door, put it up and over the door lock knob, and down into place. Then you just want to push those clips in around the edges of the door panel. Again, speed things up as we put those six screws back in. Now just replace your trap doors and that triangular panel.
