Fantastic

I love these mirrors. an upgrade that everybody should do and it really updates the look of your truck. especially if you tow. Only wish they sent a wiring harness to make outside marker lights be both day time running and tunsignals. Dont want to take a chance Im breaking the glass! But besides that I love them! Great quality!
Great mirror/ instructions not so much

This is a great mirror, very sharp looking on the truck. The directions that come with it leave something to be desired. It specifically says to YouTube or read forums to install and wire. Which if you don't have any knowledge in vehicle electrical, you'll probably want someone to wire it for you with new pickups. 5 star mirror minus 1 for instructions.
Rookie upgrades to towing mirrors

Very knowledgeable , patient and polite staff guided me to the right set of mirrors for my 2007 GMC 2500 SLE. Basically a plug and play with an addiction small task to upgrade to LED Spot and running lights. First side took a little longer, but the second no time at all. VIN # and confirming it was an SLE was all that was necessary. Thanks!

Love the way they look on my 2009 Silverado. Easy to install and easy to wire in the lights.
Great Product but Arrived Damaged

The mirror's look great and build quality looks like they will hold up to any oem mirror, with one minor exception. When I unboxed the new mirror's I found little bits of plastic loose in bag the mirrors came in. The plastic trim that attaches to the metal mounting plate is secured to that plate with 3 melted plastic welds (basically little plastic studs melted down). All three broke completely off one mirror and 2 out of three broke on the second mirror. The trim as a result was loose and would hang there rattling if installed that way. There didn't appear to be any damage to the box from shipping so I can only assume this happened either in manufacturing or from when the mirrors were originally boxed up. I'm giving the product 4 stars though because otherwise they are great mirrors. I also want to give 1A 5 stars or more because they took care of the issue. I've purchased from 1A few times in the past but typically shop around for the best price and have ordered from a number

These mirrors are really well made and look fantastic. The installation video on the website is very detailed and makes for an easy install for someone who is mechanically inclined. However, they did not supply a few necessary electrical components to tie in these updated mirrors on my 08 duramax. I had to go to the auto parts store and pick up some couplers and the add a fuses to tie into the fuse box under the hood. They also didnt explain well which fuses to use to make the illuminate properly. Otherwise, super stoked on the way they look.
Exactly what I was looking for

Havent installed them yet but they are exactly what I was looking for. Shipping was fast and price is good. To get the plain black plastic old style mirrors from the dealer was going to cost me the same. Will be installing them this weekend. I have read other reviews and expect to have no issues.

I went total fabricator on this install, mirrors have the options I wanted on my 2014 Duramax, lights blinkers, backup or curtesy light heated and tow mode. the install is simple enough for anyone with ambition, and a little experience. the video showed me that these were what I wanted. Great quality, BUT YES I HAVE A BUT, the detent home position of swing location is not adjustable, Passenger side was not in a good location causing the mirrors to be adjusted all the way out limiting view. Contacted A1 auto, got the blank stare treatment. anyway went total fabricator and made my own adjustment.. if I had to put these on another truck I would, they are that good of upgrade from stock gm's.

Wired up according to video, which is great by the way, but something is wrong with internal wiring. The back up lights only come on when the blinkers are going.

Mirrors are just what I wanted. I ordered previous ones From different stores and never liked them. These win hands down. Just like stock with lights that do what I wanted them to do.

I like the mirrors they work great. The only thing I Cessna figure out is where in the fuse box to plug in the wires for the reverse lights. My truck is a GMC Sierra Denali, the fuse box is a little different than the Silverado fuse box. So if you have a Silverado you'll be fine.

I wasn't sure on either 3 or 4 stars for my first impression. I needed something better than clamp on mirrors for camper towing and I ended up choosing these. I hope these help in someone's decision. Pros: -Nice field of view in the upper mirror on both sides, and the driver side lower blind spot mirror. -The turn signals and marker lights are adequate. The turn signal lights are quite nice, actually. -They also seem to be a nice sturdy build for the most part. -Back up spotlights are REALLY nice to have. -Very straight forward wiring, especially with the 1A video library. Cons: -There is more than comfortable-for-me shaking in the upper mirrors. Not so much that they are terribly distorted but enough that it bugs me. -The lower, passenger blind spot mirror doesn't tilt out far enough and I have a lot of pickup in my view when I would rather see more blind spot. -While adjusting the mirrors (manual on lower) I noticed I could bend the mirrors quite easily so I checked the

Installed on a 2011 Siverado 2500HD. I had questions prior to purchase and email at 2am and got a response within 20 minutes. Install went awesome. Perfect fit and work perfect. The only thing I changed was the wire connectors for the harnesses. I used heat shrink terminals. I think the mirrors should come with them rather than the others.
Now you see me, now you don't.

by micmar-769 Jun 12, 2021 Expensive, nice mirrors, customer service; not so much. I bought the Trail Ridge Tow Mirror TR00045 Power Heated Signal Spotlight Black Pair for my GM Pickup a couple years ago and they look and work great, even with the limited adjustment range. Right up until the cover fell off the driver's side mirror. I've been trying to get ANYONE from the company to tell me how to get a replacement cover. Can't contact the company, can't get anyone who carries the brand to provide that information, or cover the warranty. Just be aware, if anything goes wrong, their "Lifetime warranty" is worthless. Now you see me, now you don't.

I have a 2012 chevy Silverado 1500 LT do I have to use a different wiring harness seeing as my truck mirrors now don't have turn signals lights and aren't heated?

The only add on here are the signal/marker lamps. Thats what the wiring is shown in the picture. If you do not have the heated feature, we cannot promise proper operation because its not something you can add on.

These mirrors will bolt to your vehicle properly, but if your vehicle was not equipped with a heated function we may not guarantee the electrical connector will connect properly. The LED will need to be wired to allow proper power is sent to the turn signal.

I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 LTZ. I currently have them wired as the turn signals. Can I wire them to also work as a marker might? I want them to do both.
October 10, 2017
Jacob B
10
From what i have seen the only way to wire them as marker lights and signals is by buying a wiring kit that requires you to pull the front of the mirror off. If anyone else has a better way i know id be down to hear it as well but thats the only way i have found you can do it. I own a 2008 gmc sierra 2500 HD duramax.
October 11, 2017
Zachary F

The short answer is no. Long answer is that the feed for marker lights and signal lights are separate, literally separate wires. The signal lights in the mirrors only have one positive wire input (plus ground). If you buy the mirrors that have signal AND marker lights then each light (signal and marker) has it's own positive input. There may be a way to build a circuit board with two inputs and a diode to not back feed power into the opposite input when each is powered, but that is WAY beyond what I could design.

Got these on my 2008 Silverado Ltz. How do I get the marker and back up led lights to work? Used the supplied wiring and still wont work.
March 29, 2018
Kevin F
10
The only way I know is to turn on the lights and trace the hot wire or trace it from the fuse block. Then you will need to splice into that hot wire and neutral so the lights only come on when the switch is on. Not easy, but can be done.
March 29, 2018
Jack H
10
You have to locate the back up wire under the steering column bear the pedals and splice into it. Do the same for market lights, locate the head light wire and splice in. Doesn't take long once you identify the wires you need to splice into.

how to wire these mirror on a 2011 chevy 2500 dh diesel?
January 6, 2019
David V
10
As long as you get the right mirrors that correspond to the rpo code in your glove box, the plug from the new mirrors will be identical to the plug from your current mirrors. This part of the mirror is "plug-n-play," and will control the factory stuff (power, heat and blinker). There are 1 or 2 additional wires for the outter running lights that need to be tapped into. I paid a car audio shop $50 to connect them because I couldn't find the correct wires. Pretty easy install.

Once you take apart your door and disconnect your working harnesses, you will reconnect the harness for mirror mirror into your existing harness. Unless your vehicle already has mirrors that includes turn signals, you will have to take into the turn signal wire under the dash. You will do the same for back up LED, locate the reverse wire in the fuse box next to the pedals and tap in. It's sounds involved but it doesn't take long.

These mirrors will be plug-and-play if your OE have the same features. The turn signals, spot lights and clearance lights can be wired in if your originals did not have them as well. These come with some instructions to guide you on how to tap the wires to add these features.
