However, Ford was forced by the Federal Trade Commission to sell Autolite under violated antitrust laws. So, the Motorcraft auto part brand was launched by Ford in 1972 to take over Autolite’s responsibilities. Today, Motorcraft continues to offer quality parts and perfect fits for Ford vehicles that can operate just as well as their original counterparts.
