Motorcraft Parts

The Motorcraft name was originally launched in the 1950s, but it did not have much success and was discontinued by Ford when they purchased the Electric Autolite Company in 1961. They specialized in many products such as spark plugs, lights, wires, and ignition systems. At that point, the newly minted brand became Ford’s official auto parts brand. However, Ford was forced by the Federal Trade Commission to sell Autolite under violated antitrust laws. So, the Motorcraft auto part brand was launched by Ford in 1972 to take over Autolite’s responsibilities. Today, Motorcraft continues to offer quality parts and perfect fits for Ford vehicles that can operate just as well as their original counterparts.
