Fiat and Chrysler vehicles. It is currently owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which was established in 2014 following Fiat’s acquisition of Chrysler. It began as Chrysler Motor Parts Corporation in 1929 after the acquisition of Dodge Brothers Inc., and was established to supply the many OEM parts needed for the growing company. The term “Mopar” was first used in the 1920s and became the official brand in 1937, first as a product name for Chrysler’s antifreeze, and eventually as the brand name for all Chrysler products.

Many years after WWII, Mopar fluctuated between using wholesalers and Chrysler’s own depots. In 1964, in an attempt to create a presence in the aftermarket, Chrysler restyled their Mopar logo to the “Omega M” that is synonymous with the organization today. With Chrysler’s purchase of AMC in 1987, Mopar’s role as a supplier grew, and today it offers parts for vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM, and Fiat as well. Mopar specializes in various types of equipment such as fog lights, fuel injectors, brake pads, and floor liners. They have been a company that offers high-performance replacement parts of OEM quality, as well as service and customer care for decades, and continue to serve as a viable option for all Chrysler related products.
