This part matches the original 1986 560SL hood badge.This has a very dark blue fill behind the lettering and a raised, chrome 3-dimensional star. This is the one to buy!! Beware of copies. There is another MBZ badge part with a light blue fill and the star is flat, white (not chrome) with a raised outline of the true Mercedes 3-point star. I spent a lot of time on the phone to make sure that this part looks exactly as pictured. The customer service person probably thought I was nuts; but, I knew there were many sellers delivering a cheap knock-off. 1A Auto is my go to place.
