I purchased this fuel pump for my girlfriend's '06 Mazda6 V6. I didn't want to shell out $400 for the OEM unit, so I was surprised to see this part for much less. It went in without a hitch, and the fit and finish was identical to the OEM unit that I removed from the car. It is working perfectly with zero leaks or issues, and has fixed the sputtering below 1/4 tank that we have been putting up with for months.

I ordered the fuel pump for my 2005 Mazda 6. I used the tool rental program through Autozone to remove and install this fuel pump. With the correct tool, it took me literally 5 minutes. Easy to do yourself! Car has been running great!

Car started immediately after install. Make sure your tank is no more than 2/3 full or you will have a nice mess on your hands. Only problem is the fuel position sensor is different from stock in that the fuel gauge reads only the last half of the tank. I dont mind this so much because my car appears to be on full longer, but drops off quickly when I start to approach empty.

Car started right up after putting in the new pump. Only thing now is the fuel gauge doesn't line up properly. I'll work to resolve that issue later, but not completely plug and play based on that. Good unit overall though.

Thank you for your inquiry, Nikita! This will fit a 2006 Mazda 6 i with Federal Emissions and with a roof mounted antenna. As long as your vehicle has both of those things than engine size does not matter.

I have a 2004 Mazda 6s V6 with the antenna on top. I replaced my fuel pump awhile back. My new pump did not come with a filter. Everything that I read said that you never have to replace the filter. I have not had any fuel related problems since replacing the pump.

I have installed this unit in my 2007 mazda 6 2.3I. It worked just fine.. You will want to remove most of the gas from the tank before you remove the old pump. If not when when you remove the old unit the gas will over- flow into the interior of your vehicle.
