How to Replace Heater Blower Motor 2002-07 Jeep Liberty

1. Removing the Blower Motor
Remove the two Phillips screws from the panel underneath the glove box
Push the tab and disconnect the resistor harnesses with a flat blade screwdriver
Push the tab on the blower motor down
Remove the blower motor cover down and out
Pull the blower motor down and out
2. Installing the New Blower Motor
Insert the blower motor into its slot
Align the tab and turn the blower motor clockwise
Reconnect the resistor harnesses
Replace the two Phillips screws into the blower motor panel

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor on this 2006 Jeep Liberty. It's the same part and process on these Libertys from 2002 to 2007.The only items you'll need include a new blower motor from 1AAuto.com and a Phillips screwdriver.
Under your glove box, there should be a panel here held in by two Phillips screws. You remove those screws and pull the panel forward out of that hole there. On the blower motor, push the red clip on the harness. Push the tab and pull it free. To release this, there's a tab on the blower motor right here. All you have to do is pull that down and then twist the blower motor counterclockwise and it pulls out.
On the right is the old blower motor; on the left is the new one from 1A Auto. They're identical; they'll mount the same and it'll work good as new. Take your new blower motor, line up that tab with this right here, and you want to slide it into that slot. Just feed it into place, line up the tab, and twist it clockwise to lock it. Reconnect your harness and push in that red clip to lock it. Just replace that panel and you're all set.
