My original was a 3 piece driveshaft, this one is a two piece driveshaft, but bolted up perfectly and operates nice and smooth.

Yes, just make sure you mark the position of the old shaft with the front PTU collar and back collar on the differential. Replace the carrier bearing spacers and grommets with new ones in the correct order that they came off to keep the shaft angle correct.

The design has been revised from 3 pieces on the OEM to 2 pieces on the 1AA. I encountered this during my install on an MKX. The 1AA fits in place of the old 3 piece. I would reccomend new isolation hardware as well.

My old shaft doesn't have a circle end on the ptu side, it's just an x. Does this matter?
