These struts are really great! They were easy to install and my truck rides very smooth now. I installed these struts a year ago and they're still riding great. When my friends borrow my 2002 Toyota Tundra to tow things, they always compliment how smooth the ride is. I highly recommended this product and 1A-Auto's awesome customer service.
Such an easy install

Installation was fairly easy took an hour and a half for both the first too about an hour the second took no time as I figureD the way to allow strut to fit in place by having someone stand on brake caliper to extend in place. Good ride time will tell
Good fit

These were slightly out of clock but otherwise fit well. The drive feels just right too. Not too stiff or too soft.

Very easy to install. The video was a big help. I would recommend using a ratchet strap from the truck frame around the bottom of the shock to pull it into position to get the bolt lined up. I was able to pout the bolt in from the rear without too much difficulty.

I check before buying and it was showing that it is compatible with 2006 tundra regular cab. This is clearly not for regular cab v6 tundra. My car raised like i add the raise kit and the worst part it is too firm. Car weight is not enough to push the strut and it is not working when you drive. Shock is dead still and all little bumps makes tire airborne because there is no room for shock to extend, it is in max open position. It fills like I need to add about 1/2 ton extra wait on front so it can start work. Do not waist you money on it, get the original from dealer and it will cost you less. Now i have to buy from dealer and pay another installation and alignment to fix this problem.

Great struts fit great am glad I got parts from A-1 Auto
Bushings are terrible
Steve
January 24, 2024
Shocks and spring were solid! But the lower bushing was so soft that the shocks bottomed out with every dip in the road. I wound up going back to the BIlstein coil overs on my truck that it originally came with. I have the TRD package and the ride was stiff and these shocks really softened it up. Felt like I had lost some stability.
Customer Q&A
do i need to compress these when installing them?

No you do not. Just jack up vehicle remove tire to get it out of the way. Unbolt the whole assembly comes out one piece. Then install the new one. Took me about an hour.

No. You may have to push and pry a little to line up the bottom bolt but it's an easy install.

the coils are already attached Chou may find that the coils you replace have compressed somewhat over time. You'll need to extend the swing ATM fully to accommodate the new set.

No, they don't need to be compressed. You may need to use a small bottle jack or pry bar to spread open the upper and lower control arms to slide in the assembly and bolt it in place. I am very happy with the result.

We have a few different aftermarket companies build struts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
