Replacement part correctly fits my Saturn ion 2004. The new part was of better quality than the original. The only thing it did not get fifth star because it did not come with instruction how to install it properly so I could have gotten it the first time instead for figuring out how to correctly position and time the wipers. I was successful after many attempts. The instruction in the video did not get to the critical step of timing and positioning of the wiper blades.

Windshield wiper linkage
This part was fairly easy to install and the price was better than some of the other online dealers. I also like the fact that delivery was easy because I always have problems with online orders not recognizing my address

Good Quality, Fits Perfect
The wife's windshield wiper linkage broke on Her Saturn, Checked prices at major Auto Parts Stores and units they were selling were over double the cost, ordered this one from A1 and even with second day shipping charges was less than half the cost of the local stores, great job A1
A1 even had a video to help install it.

Wiper transmission
The price of this piece is fantastic as I got a quote from the dealer for $800. However, the travel of the wiper blades is just not the same. There is something funny going on with this linkage where the start / mid / resting positions are not correct for the amount of travel the blades need to go through. The install was somewhat difficult. I needed to buy a tool to get the wiper arms removed and there was a lot of tweaking that had to occur to get the optimal wiper blade position because like I said the travel the linkage makes the blades go through is not correct. Close but no cigar. All in all I’m satisfied. I would recommend this. I’m pretty handy and it took me nearly half a day to get this repaired. Good luck

great product, fits different
I have an 04 ion, the part looks exactly the same but for some reason it did not fit the same as the OEM ion has a firewall that comes up to where this arm connects and when i installed the new arm it proceeded to rub on the firewall, whereas the OEM one did not. This is something that should be pointed out in your video as well as the 1 very important missing piece in the video, where the flat piece should be facing! Someone in the comments had the exact problem i did so i just read his review and it helped me out, otherwise the video and the product itself are great! I will be ordering some headlight housing from you guys in the near future because overall you guys are great, thank you!

is this wiper transmission assembly is made all steel or metal.?
because the genuine/original part is made of plastic and steel

BEST ANSWER: It was all metal. They replaced the plastic parts because those pieces typically broke. The linkage does work however the travel the blades go is not perfect. It seems as though the linkage was not calculated right because the blades want to go past the resting position and come back up and stop abruptly at a weird position on the glass. It takes a while to set the right positions. The part is not perfect but it beats spending $800 at the dealer
