Hello, Sorry We have no installation details on these here. Maybe a Chilton or Haynes repair manual would be of assistance on this. Maybe a quick call to the Nissan parts department would be able to clarify the grill concern for installation.

Yes you do have to remove the grill, it is quite simple be gentle with the plastic push pins! Older plastics can be brittle. Enjoy your new visibility !

Yes. There are only a few screws that hold it on and it opens the entire front to replace the lights. Total time less than 30 minutes.

Mickey, yes you have to remove the front grill. it is held in with clips, just be careful not to break them. not time consuming either. i had both my in in less than an hour

I have a 2000 Xterra and didn't have to have them readjusted. There's really only one way they are installed and they're in there pretty good. Little, if any, room for error.

I installed those headlights on my 01 Xterra and they are a direct fit replacement to the original headlights that came with the vehicle. The light path can be adjusted up and down with a simple screwdriver. I turned the lights on at night and was able to adjust the light path where I wanted it by playing with the adjustment screws on the headlight fixture. Hope this helps.

It is highly likely you will have to readjust them, but it's not hard. There are plenty of "how to" resources on the web. Do a little searching (e.g., on YouTube) and you'll find what you need to know.
