  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:25)
    • Loosen the 21mm lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Remove the hub cap
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Inspecting the Brakes (1:15)
    • Turn the rotor by hand or turn the steering wheel to turn the rotor
    • Check the thickness of the brake pads
    • Check the brake pad wear indicator
    • Check for gouges on both sides of the rotor
  3. step : Removing the Front Brakes (1:30)
    • Pry off the u-clip from the brake line with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Remove 14mm bolts from the brake caliper
    • Remove the brake caliper
    • Have a drain pan and bleeder hose ready
    • Remove the rubber boot from the bleeder screw
    • Loosen the bleeder screw with a 10mm wrench and confirm fluid drips out
    • Compress the caliper piston with a clamp
    • Tighten the bleeder screw
    • Pry the brake pads off with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Remove 22mm bolts from the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull off the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull the rotor off
  4. step : Preparing the New Brake Pads and Rotors (7:57)
    • Clean the wheel hub with a wire brush and rust penetrant
    • Slide the rotor on and secure it by hand with a lug nut
    • Clean the brake pad clips with a wire brush
    • Apply grease to the brake pad clip surface on the caliper
    • Replace the brake pad clips
    • Apply grease to the caliper slides
    • Apply grease to the caliper ears and piston
  5. step : Installing the Front Brakes (20:41)
    • Put the bracket back into place
    • Start the 22mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten the bolts to 98 foot-pounds of torque
    • Install the new brake pads into the bracket
    • Put the caliper on
    • Thread 14mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten bolts to 20 foot-pounds
    • Press the u-clip to the brake hose
  6. step : Bleeding the Brakes (23:20)
    • Pump the brake pedal slowly a few times with a pry bar
    • Check the master cylinder and add the manufacturer's specified brake fluid with a funnel as needed
    • Loosen the bleeder screw with a 10mm wrench
    • Let the fluid drip and inspect it for air bubbles
    • Tighten the bleeder screw
    • Replace the bleeder screw cap
  7. step : Reattaching the Wheel (26:10)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Attach the hub cap
    • Start the 21mm lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle partially to the ground
    • Torque the lug nuts to 83 ft-lb in a crossing or star pattern
    • Lower the vehicle completely
