1A Auto hosts Gateway Students for tire changes and smiles
Pepperell, MA, 3/22/19 – The 1A Auto team hosted The North Middlesex Regional School District’s Gateway Program at its R&D Center in Pepperell, MA. Students toured 1A Auto’s R&D Center with the 1A Auto team and Mike Green, president of 1A Auto. In addition to the tour, students got to participate in a tire-changing competition, learned about video production, visited the 1A Auto-sponsored Engine Noise Podcast studio and got to sit in the 1A Auto racecar.
The North Middlesex Regional School District’s Gateway Program provides students between the ages of 18 and 22 with opportunities to identify and strengthen individual skills utilizing the Life Centered Education* (LCE) curriculum. LCE components include daily living skills, self-determination, interpersonal skills and employment skills. LCE components provide sub-competencies to assist each student in achieving his or her potential. *Life Centered Education is a product of the Council for Exceptional Children.
