Great heater and A/C control

Our 2000 Jeep Wrangler's heater and A/C control knobs had all broken off. We got this replacement and it was a snap to install! It took my husband maybe 15 minutes to finish the job. It works perfectly! Now we can heat the Jeep toasty warm in these Arctic temperatures!!! A-1 shipped quickly too.

It took 5 days to get my heater control here in about 1 hour to install it can't do any better than that

Very simple install .. unscrew 7 screws , unplug , plug in new controller turn on to check the working of,,reinstall . Life is good

It's hard to find older Jeep parts that you don't have to pay through the nose for. Lucky that I stumbled upon 1A Auto! This A/C option panel replaced my non-A/C option panel because I WILL be getting A/C with my new engine build. This part arrived quickly, well packaged and the price was decent. Not only that it was a direct fit. Ever order a part that says it's a direct fit and it's not? I have. With 1A Auto that isn't the case. Very happy w/my purchase and I will be a return customer.
Vacuum lines to short for a 03 wrangler

This control works just fine and is exactly like the OEM. The only problem was the vacuum lines that came with it are to short for an 03 Wrangler. The vacuum line connector for the 03 is on the right side of the blower motor which the lines that come with it are to short. I could use the old ones but if your old ones are ruined then this won't work unless you move the connection from the right side of the blower.

Hi I bought the heater and a/c control selector for my Jeep Wrangler. The unit is very nice and works great. Also all the wiring came with it. The unit was very easy to use just pull the old one out and plug the new unit in and install the screws back to secure to the dash. Yes I would recommend this unit if you need one. The sale person was very helpful to and the unit came within a week from purchase date, thanks Jason

Vacuum lines too short

The control knob on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler was broken and stuck on defrost. Replacing the control was easy, but I had to use the vacuum lines from my broken control. The vacuum lines on the new unit are too short. After swapping the lines the unit works perfectly.

The overall unit is nice and works, BUT the vacuum lines are only HALF as long as they need to be! It isn't a little short. It is massively short. I was able to use my old lines and got the job done but I'm disappointed I needed to do that. 2002 Wrangler X. 6cy.

UTube video was great in helping me to replace the old one. However, the wiring/tube harness was not long enough so I had to use the old one that was already attached to the harness. I took apart the new and replace with the old. Took an extra 15 minutes but all worked out well. The old tubes and harness were still in good shape.

The part works well. The purchased vacuum lines will have to be swapped with the original control lines. I also had to replace the blower motor resistor to repair the fan speed issues.

works great, would have given it a 5 star review but... the vent position switch wire pigtail was at least a foot short. I used my old switch and wiring (since it was never the problem in the first place). 2003 Wrangler Sahara

Generally, when your fan is running on High only it is not your control unit. It is your fan control resister which is located by the fan under the dash on the right-hand side. When this item goes bad it fails to the high speed only.

We recommend you check the blower motor resistor first, as that is the component that controls the speed of the fan.

I had the same problem with my 2000 Wrangler. about 2 years ago. I finally got fed up with it and decided to replace the controller. I think it cost about $100 and was not too hard to replace if you have some mechanical know-how. You have to remove the dash to get to electronics. Most likely you'll need the heater controller. Some of the older Jeeps have heater controllers that run off vacuum, which is fine until there's a blockage in one of the vacuum lines. I've replaced my 99 TJ's heater controller 3 times and I have a spare waiting. For me it's always the same: high is the only speed that works.
