Hino Parts

A subsidiary of the Toyota Motor Corporation, Hino has manufactured medium and heavy-duty trucks since the 1960s. It is named after the city of Hino, Tokyo, where its headquarters are located.

Hino first manufactured armored vehicles in WWII for Japan. Following the war, Hino was restricted to building tractor trailers, buses, and diesel engines. This made the company an instrumental part of Japan’s postwar recovery.

Hino later built passenger cars and a pickup truck called the Briska, but production ended in 1967 when purchased by Toyota. Since then, Hino has focused its efforts on building medium and heavy duty vehicles in many countries.
