In the past, replacing struts required specialized tools to compress, remove and transfer the old spring and mount.  Pre-assembled with all new parts, our complete strut and spring assemblies make this job much quicker and easier for the do-it-yourself mechanic.

Each complete strut & spring assembly contains:

  • Upper Strut Mount
  • Strut Bearing
  • Coil Spring
  • Boot & Bumper Kit
  • Gas-charged Strut
Pre-Assembled

Loaded strut & spring assemblies allow for a quicker, safer install than bare struts.  No spring compressor required!

Trouble-Free Install

Includes the matched parts needed. New components over reused parts provide a better ride and save you from having to repair again.

Matched Parts

Not all shocks and struts are manufactured the same.  Mixing and matching can result in ride quality issues and decrease the life of the parts.

Saves Time & Money

Over buying the parts individually, or having to search different parts that are correct for your vehicle (because we did it for you!)

My 2005 Ford F-150 has a Fabtech 6" lift. With these still fit?
Jackie O December 5, 2016
Honestly, Im not to sure. We see that Fabtech has kits with and without front struts. The mounts do look different. Id suggest you call Fabtech and ask them about other units. You MAY consider getting them thru Fabtech because of the 6" lift and your driving style, you may need something different than OEM.
Brian F December 14, 2016
What brand is the shock?
Rich B January 28, 2017
Im not sure of the brand of shock. I used these on my 2004 F150 and had no issues after 15k miles.
Kyle D January 28, 2017
We have a few different aftermarket companies build these parts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to ask.
Tim K January 29, 2017
These struts have a lifetime warranty.
Tim K January 29, 2017
Will these fit 2004 F×4 Supercrew With 6" fabtech lift???
Brian J June 25, 2017
No, these struts are made to work on trucks with up to 2" of lift only.
Tim K June 26, 2017
possibly. my truck wasnt lifted so i wouldnt be able to answer honestly.
Cody K June 27, 2017
if youre going to put a 6 inch Fabtech lift I dont know why you would want to put stock struts and springs in it. If youre going to use the six inch spacer thats up to you.
Abraham A June 28, 2017
will these struts work on the 8200# gvw ?
Jim W December 3, 2017
I have seen several different videos of these struts being replaced but this video is the only one that removes the axle. If the job can be completed without removing the axle then what is the reason for removal?
Dick N April 11, 2018
Performing this step gives you more room to work, making it easier to replace this part.
Tim K April 11, 2018
JJust better/more clearance if you remove axle, but it can totally be done without axle removal....there are videos on you tube that show it being done without removing the axles.
Dave Friess D April 11, 2018
What is the length of the shock ?
John G July 20, 2018
I dont have the exact measurements. Our parts are designed to be exact replacements for what came with the vehicle, so as long as your year, make, and model match up with our listing, these will definitely fit and function just like the original. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Peter L July 21, 2018
are they considered heavy duty?
John S September 24, 2018
Hello, These shock and spring assemblies are made to the same spec as the factory parts. They will not be any stronger than the factory parts were. Thanks!
Adam G September 24, 2018
does this come in a set?
Anonymous S August 27, 2019
Thank you for the inquiry. This listing is for a pair (quantity 2) of front struts.
Christa R August 28, 2019
Will this fit my RWD 2005 F150 XLT?

Made My Truck Ride Like Day 1
I had totally forgotten how smooth my truck rode until I changed out the front struts. 1 BIG reason I bought from 1A Auto was the very detailed and helpful DIY video instruction. I just took my time following the video step by step instructions and had no problems. Thanks so much!
July 1, 2017
06 f150 struts
No issues after I installed them I did notice I had to put the lower in first then twist the strut to align the upper three studs to there respected location. And thats y I choose to give a four star but no issues and its been 3 weeks.

2 different shocks.
So these shocks work okay temporarily, but they werent the same, one is clearly different from the other and I can already feel them stiffining up, ive driven 1500 miles since installation. Im not one to complain or leave bad reviews but I would steer clear of these.

Struts
Perfect. Just what I needed and shipped quickly. Awesome and will definetly order again.
September 3, 2018
Both struts broke under 9 months and other issues
In Jan 2018 I replaced both struts along with ball joints, upper control arms, and sway bar links. I drive carefully 99% of the time on roads. 6 months later the first and only time I went through a semi deep rut in a farm field. The left strut broke snapped the stud on the top off. Now 9 months later the right strut broke snapped the stud on top of the piston. Only driving on streets and not aggressively driving at any time. 1. Also had to replace a Blower motor resistor within 6 months. 2. Upper control arms grease zerk holes were not tapped to accept the zerks. 3. Incorrect sway stabilizer arms were sent. I took vacation time and a weekend between kids sports to finish this project. I do not have time to wait on replacement parts to be shipped nor repeatedly replace broken parts. I have now spent twice as much money and time due to poor quality parts. 3 strikes youre out, I will not order from 1A again.
October 25, 2018
I like 1A Auto because theyre cheap good Reliable Parts and when you call you talk to someone right away and can get you the right parts so far I have not had any major issues or complaints on any of the parts I received from you guys and I will be buying other parts in the future for my other vehicles do you guys also sell boat parts and controls for boats I will be looking into that also
