I was in a pinch and needed ball joints and tie rods ASAP. This kit fit perfectly in my 1997 ram 1500 4x4. Only thing I would wish that was different is that I wish it had greasable fittings, just not a huge fan of maintenance free ball joints and tie rods. I guess well see how long they last and if Im impressed Ill most likely be buying them again.

This is a wonderful kit of parts that I was easily able to assemble. While the kit doesn't come with instructions, the 1AAUTO YouTube channel had all the information I needed to complete this build. I had to contact customer service during this project, but they were quick and helpful for getting me what I needed. Definitely going back to 1AAUTO!

One of the sway bar links was junk. I had to get one at Advance to finish the job at a cost of $24. A1 only refunded me $9 for the junk part. Not impressed with quality. Well see if they last. Also, be sure to have cotter pins on hand. My order only had one cotter pin.

Thanks for the excellent videos, as I am not a mechanic, they make the impossible possible. My truck is a 96 Ram 1500 4WD, which just happens to be the same truck worked on in the above mentioned video. This was a bit of luck, as the video shows the exact same things that I am looking at. So far great, had the truck on the highway yesterday for first time since repair. Difference from before repair, at 70 mph, and after is night and day.

This kit will fit 1997 Ram 1500 models with 4 Wheel Drive. As long as the vehicle is equipped with 4WD these parts would be a direct fit.

Are the upper ball joints nonadjustable?

The upper ball joints are telescoping to allow for different size steering knuckles. Once it is fully torqued on it will not telescope in/out, it's just for install.
