I purchased a map sensor for my jeep and it arrived within a couple days. Sadly its not the correct map sensor but I called and they are working with me to fix the problem.

It converts engine vacuum/manifold pressure to an electrical signal so the computer knows how much load the engine is under. This data is the basis for fuel delivery and timing control.

If your car is experiencing stalling problems it might be time to change your map sensor. The sensor sends information to your cars computer to help it maintain complete function of your air that is going through your engine. If it goes bad your car can start to stall when your at a light or it might cut off sometimes.

Yes it can produce a 401 code map sensor tells a computer what the manifold absolute pressure is it helps that car run correctly and get good gas mileage
