Great price, 75$ less than O'Reilly, received within 3-4 days, put it on,so far so good!

Purchased the sending unit to replace my existing leaking sending unit in a 2008 Charger RT (pump worked fine but the cover was leaking fuel when tank was full). Removed the original and installed the aftermarket I purchased; install went fairly smoothly except for a fitment issue with the lock ring (cover appears to be slightly thicker than the OEM). Went to start the car and fuel gauge went to zero and threw a code; Fuel Level Sensor A High Circuit. Tested the float and variable resistor and there were no resistance readings for 90% of the float positions; small blip of resistance at what would be the 3/4 full mark. Contacted 1A Auto and a replacement was received 1 week later. This time I bench tested the second unit and had the SAME results with no readings on the float. I ultimately took the cover from the replacement unit and installed it on my OEM sending unit and solved my problem but if I would have had a bad fuel pump I would have been out of luck; pump would have sent

I bought two of these, the first one didnt work check engine light came on error code p0463 (fuel level sensor 1 circuit high) so they sent me another one, same thing! after I removed it, I checked it with a meter and only at one level was resistance measured, all the other levels had no resistance, I ended up putting my original back (which has 180k on it) and it worked fine - no check engine light, no false fuel reading. They did refund me but the hassle of having to replace 2 of these and smell like gas wasnt good, glad I didnt have to pay someone

Fuel pump works but float level is faulty and not showing correct fuel level, even after pulling to inspect and then re-installing. It does not appear damaged. That being said, Im good for now but will have to buy another before I have to take my car in for my next inspection as this is causing an error code that will not permit a pass at inspection.

Fuel pump for driver side was not a perfect fit . Had to use the old top part of the fuel pump in order for it to seal and be able to lock it.

Not an exact fit!! The 2 medal rods were 3/4 of an inch to long. Had to modify for it to fit right.

Not sure which unit is giving me false reading yet. Replaced both this and sending unit. Started out with 7/8 of a tank with old units and now read 5/8 after installing new ones. Maybe should have bought OEM from the dealer.

Do we need to replace both pumps or is it usely just the rear side that gets replaced?

Normally you replace the driver side pump. This is the side that has the fuel level sensor.

You do not have to replace both, necessarily, but it is usually a good idea!
