  1. step : Remove the wheel (1:25)
    • Remove the lug nut covers and center cap.
    • Loosen the lug nuts.
    • Raise and secure the vehicle.
    • Remove the lug nuts and set the wheel aside.
    • Placing the wheel under a lift point on the vehicle will add extra security in the event of a floor jack failure.
  2. step : Remove the calipers (1:57)
    • Observe your brakes; look for excessive wear or gouges in the rotor and check the thickness of the brake pads.
    • Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry in between the caliper to compress the piston to help get the caliper off.
    • Take a 3/8 Allen wrench and place it in the caliper bolt.
    • Use an open wrench to loosen up the bolt (which you are holding in place with the Allen wrench to get it loose)
    • Remove the caliper and discard the pads.
  3. step : Remove the rotor (4:59)
    • Use a hammer and chisel to remove the dust cap.
    • Take your pliers and remove the cotter pin.
    • With a 27 mm socket and ratchet, remove the nut on the center of the rotor.
    • Remove the washer and pull the rotor off.
  4. step : install the new rotor (6:25)
    • Clean the rotor with brake clean.
    • Coat the inside of the hub with bearing grease.
    • Insert the race with the race installation tool.
    • Apply bearing grease to the bearings.
    • Insert the inner bearings to the inside of the hub and then install the seal with your race installation tools.
    • Flip the rotor and repeat the process.
    • Continue to Part 2.

Rotors and pads good, drums and rear shoes bad
These rotors and drums were for a 96 blazer. The front rotors and pads have been great. They work great and I am not seeing brake pad dust as before. I am very happy with the front. The rear drums were so out of round I had to have them turned. I do not know what material the rear shoes were made of but there was nothing but LOTS of brake dust all the time. All that dust got between the shoe and drum and was causing the rear brakes to lock up and drove my abs system crazy. Which created a dangerous situation not knowing if the blazed was going to stop or not. Changed the rear shoes to AC DELCO PRO DURASTOP 17514R and now everything works great. I hope 1aauto changes the rear drums and shoes in this package. Might cost a little more but you will save money in the long run. It cost me about $55 extra to get the rear right. $20 to turn the drums and $33 for the shoes. I have a 88 s-10 PU that I put on the same exact rotors and pads, used Centric Premium Brake Drums and Centric Rear Heavy Duty Drum Brake Shoes. Perfect combination and the drums were not out of round. Perfect combination.
