Great Customer Service
December 31, 2017
I ordereded this part for my Suburban and when it arrived, I followed the video they have on the install. The video was spot on and very helpful. However, the part was defective out of the box and after some troubleshooting, I called customer service. They listened to my explanation of the situation, and immediately shipped me another part. When that one arrived, it went right on and worked like a champ. Thank you for the awesome customer service.
Finally fixed it!

I had been putting off this repair because it seemed like it was going to be a huge pain. However, the part arrived quickly and was a perfect fit. A little Youtube University guidance and boom! Truck is fixed. The part and guidance from 1aauto made this job a breeze.
Installation of Chevy transfer case motor
June 19, 2019
I went online to view your video on the installation of the transfer case motor before I purchased the part and it was very helpful, then I checked for availability and price of the motor. It shipped on time, packaged well, and part was exact fit. Installation of the motor went just as video showed it would. This is my fourth purchase from 1A auto and I am as pleased as my first order for quality of product and shipping parts in a timely manner, thanks 1A auto.

Is there a way to shift into correct position after connecting and switching into incorrect position?
March 16, 2017

I had to shift my yukon into neutral and then press 4 Hi, and then back to 2 wheel in order to get proper function and indication after installing the new transfer case motor.

David, I went through hell and back trying to get mine to work. If the motor and the transmission are not aligned you will not get it to work not matter how many times you clear the error code. I suspect there is a better way but I took the cover off and re aligned the motor to match the transmission and by the grace of god and after two months of racking my brain it worked!! Hope this helps.

we had a 2005 Yukon. We left the car in 2 wheel drive. Went to put the new motor on did not fit. We determined the new one was shipped in the neutral position. We put the old one back on. Shifted it into neutral took the old one back off and then put the new one on and it fit.

Does the encoder in this part need to be programmed?
March 25, 2017

No, the encoder ring does not need to be programmed.

I did not need to do any programming. Simply installed the part and powered up truck and cycled the push button switch to allow the motor to synchronize on its own. hope this helps.

Thanks for your question! I am not seeing that a gasket is included with the shift motor. The old gasket is typically reused. You can watch our install video for details. Thanks!!

James, I recently (Nov 17) bought this exact part. It did not come with a gasket. Videos I viewed said to re-use the old one, and I did. My 2004 Suburban had 180,000 on it. The part has worked flawlessly.
