Working harness backwards

The wiring harness for the fuel pump had two wires backwards. Had to rewire the black and grey I believe

Had to install a new wiring set up to fit the more modern pump. Didn't have to drop the gas tank cause there is an access panel in the trunk under the carpet for the spare. Didn't take long. Has a new filter at the bottom. I was able to then properly read my fuel gauge. I sold the car since then.

Was easy to install as OEM equipment in my 2001 Cadilac ! Took about 1.5 hours to remove old unit, splice connector wires to original wiring harness and re-install. Functions 100% .. excellent value, excellent quality ... would highly recommend !

Easy install, took a couple hours in 100+ degree heat. Good quality part as you would expect from 1A. Primed the pump an the car started right up, no hesitation at all.

So far this pump/sending unit has performed flawlessly. Prior to repacing, the fuel gauge would wander from half to empty and the low fuel light would go on and off. Not any more. At 1/3 of the price, I recommend it. 1aauto is great to work with as well.

It was no surprise. i had read on the internet that the way the cup part was made that the top side was tapered and was a tad larger than the hole.i was prepared for that.i tried for about 10 minutes and it was.i just wiggled until i separated the top from the cup part and turned the cup part upside down and out it came.the new part fits the same way,snug at the top.Great part and I'm satisfied.

I highly recommend this product. Everything was as advertised. The installation video was helpful in understanding getting the old one out may be a little difficult. The new one slipped right in and wiring was a piece of cake. This isnt the first item I have purchased fro A-1 and want be the last. Thank you for helping us do it yourselfers!!!

Recieved pump with zip ties cut that hold pump in place during shipping. I suspect it was a return. If pump does not work when plugged in I will be expecting an exchange or refund pics have been taken just in case

Yes I recommend this product and buying from 1A1. The you tube video was most helpful and the pump installed easier than the video said it would.

Fuel pump arrived as per shipping, works great saved about $200 versus the local auto parts store. After replacing the fuel pump a Chevrolet dealership worked on, all the error codes have cleared. I have purchased auto parts in the past and recommend 1A Auto, great videos very helpful!

Pump went out in 10 miles

I wanted to change the old pump it was original still was working with the new one put new one in made sure everything was right ran great for 10 miles then died so I put old one back in threw new one away

Great part great price compared to the auto part store and the 2day shipping is a plus. The part was easy to install and the changing of the connector was quick and easy. Only problem I ran into was rough idle after the install. Pretty sure it could be due to the full tank of gas.

It comes with an updated wiring harness and the instructions are not clear b/c the illustration in the instructions does not indicate if your looking at the harness as if you are facing the plug or if you are facing the wires. I installed it backwards the first time. A1 was very helpful

Slightly more difficult for a first timer fooling with fuel lines. Video install was extremely helpful. Highly recommend changing the fuel filter while you smell like gasoline. Prob be easier if the tank is close to empty.

I am happy with the pump. Installation was fairly easy, the only thing that seemed odd was the one plug had to be switched out due to they say corrosion. It didnt fix the problem that I am having with my vehicle, but thats not any fault of the product. It was an educated guess that I took. I would recommend buying this pump to friends. I actually always recommend A1 Auto

I have to purchase a special tool to remove fuel pump retaining ring. Another problem, it much hard to remove old fuel pump from gas tank. After I installed TRQ fuel pump on my 2004 Buick LeSabre, it works charmingly.

I found a video on google, they are very easy to install. But test the pump before putting it in the tank to make sure the rotation is right. So it is sucking out of the tank not from the fuel line.

Im assuming you mean without removing the gas tank. You can replace the fuel pump by accessing it through the trunk. It is actually pretty straight forward and I would recommend YouTubing it as their is a guy who goes through the necessary steps. Make sure to label your wires though!

Yes you can remove the tank if you want but its not necessary the should be a cover plate inside the trunk you can take off and access the pump from there

The fuel tank does not need to be removed to install the new fuel pump and sending unit. The wiring harness will have to be butt-spliced into the existing wiring in the vehicle, but it is not difficult. This unit is located beneath an inspection plate, forward/right hand side of the trunk compartment, under the carpet. Relatively easy installation overall, about an hour and you'll have a functioning fuel gauge again!
