Part Details

  • Quantity:   4 Piece Set

These replacement ball joints are just what you need to ensure the safety and integrity of your vehicle's suspension and steering.

Specifications:

  • Comes as a SET of 4
    • (2) - FRONT UPPER Ball Joints - LH (Driver Side) & RH (Passenger Side)
    • (2) - FRONT LOWER Ball Joints - LH (Driver Side) & RH (Passenger Side)
  • Direct replacements
  • Built to strict quality control standards

Worn ball joints can cause excessive front tire wear, popping or creaking in the front end, extra play in the steering system, and pose a serious safety concern. Replace loose or worn ball joints with our quality replacements.

One way to diagnose a loose, or warn ball joint, is to jack the car up, so the wheel is off of the ground, then have someone try to move the wheel in and out. While they are moving the wheel check the ball joint for play, if it is moving you probably need to replace it.

Our steering and suspension components are pre-greased and sealed for long life and do not require the extra maintenance typically required by greasable versions.

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
who makes the ball joints?
Allan S September 5, 2016
We have a few different aftermarket companies build these parts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to ask.

Are these press in ball joints?
Maryann F November 15, 2018
Yes, I had never done ball joints before so I used a huge ratchet, a bench vice, and a ball joint service kit. Best of luck to you.

Were constantly adding new installation video instructions. If we do not have one for your vehicle on the product listing page, please check again at a later time or check our Video Library to see similar repairs here: https://www.1aauto.com/videos For more Installation Instructions, we also sell repair manuals for many vehicles here: https://www.1aauto.com/auto-repair-manuals/c/125

Yes they are. Also you must press the old ones out first. Achievable goal, but not the easiest
Matthew M November 15, 2018
yes they are. I purchased an impact wrench on sale from Lowes and rented the ball joint press kit from AutoZone. I took "before" photos of the assembly (with the wheels off) and followed a removal & installation video to the letter. It took approximately 4 hrs. each side because I watched the video back & forth throughout the whole job. It probably could have been done 1 1/2 hr. each wheel.
