The strut assembly comes as advertised. This is my 2nd second assembly that I have ordered. This strut assembly has worked on my 2005 and 2006 outback and installation takes less than 1 hour if youre doing it by yourself. Very nice.

Shock and strut combo
April 4, 2019
These guys were great. I am always leary about blind purchases for auto parts on line. Taking a leap of faith purchased struts and shocks combo from these guys and am very impressed. 2008 outback originals finally went out and replaced with there item. Coil overs were heavier than OEM and the ride is steady. Very prompt, dead on fit and will be working with these guys again. Stay straight and honest, thanks.

The parts came well packaged and marked. Super easy install and the car rides like new. I had my son do the replacement since it was his car. He was quoted $2k for same job. He was stoked that he saved $1800 and proud of himself. The video was excellent and the main reason I used A1.
Excellent: quality and delivery

Great fit and quality
October 15, 2019
I recently installed these springs on my 2008 Subaru Outback. Completely cured the rattle that most Outbacks develop over time due to the top part of the rear spring becoming worn and loose. Overall a good purchase. Just have to see if they last.
So far so good

I replaced front and rear struts using 1a auto Quick struts. The choice was primarily due to price. The struts made the old Suby ride like new. The car has 170K and this is the first replacement so the old struts were pretty shot. I don't know how long these will last. I doubt they will last as long as OEM or higher end struts. We only want to get another 80K miles so hopefully they will go that long. The struts raised the car a good three inches, maybe four. I think it may be a bit too high. Hopefully the car will drop a bit over time. My wife has not seen the car since I did the job and I am wondering if she will notice the extra height. The 1a auto DYI videos are good. However the job, particularly the rears are much much more difficult working on the floor on jack-stands compared to the video where the car is on a lift. The fronts are really easy. If the struts go the distance, I will be very happy. The local Firestone shop quoted $1000 plus tax. I am in for <$400
First time working on my own car!

These were the first parts I've gotten to fix my car up myself. And the videos by 1A Auto made it so easy to learn how to replace the parts myself. Ill definitely be using this site to repair my car in the future!

Easy to remove and install. The option of a video to assist when trouble arises is a nice feature. Thank you for on time delivery and tracking as well. Satisfied in MI.

These shocks went in easily and provided a greatly-improved ride quality. I recommend them to anybody looking to save significantly over dealer prices
Perfect fit and seem to be doing the job.

All four struts fit perfectly and have improved the ride of the car significantly. The only difficulty was a stubborn, corroded nut or two under the car.
These Shocks are Great!

I had the hardest time getting some of the shock bolts loose. It literally took some serious creativity and massive elbow grease to get the job done. What I ended up doing was use a breaker bar on the backside and have someone position their foot on it so the bolt wouldn't move, then for the front bolt I took my socket wrench and positioned it in a horizontal fashion, then took another jack and aligned it up to the wrench then slowly jacked the wrench up, in order to get the necessary pressure to loosened the nut. I know this can be not good on the wrench, but I was able to break it loose after hours of trying to get it by hand. But once I got those loose installing the quick shocks was easy. Another tip when trying to lower the arm to align with the rear shocks, I used a scissor jack between the arm and the rubber bumper (as mentioned in the video) to slowly lower it down to align with the hole. It took multiple attempts to get it aligned. But once everything was put back together my
Works but low quality
March 24, 2022
My 07 Outback had all original suspension at 135k. Ride quality became poor so it was time to replace everything. I used control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and end links, etc that were OEM from Subaru. The only aftermarket part I used on the car were these struts. The car rides worse than it did with the original 135k struts. Don't cheap out, get the Subaru parts.
