  1. step : Removing the Hatch Support (0:15)
    • Support the hatch with a piece of wood or have an assistant support the hatch
    • Pry off the clip at the bottom of the hatch support with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Pull off the bottom of the hatch support
    • Pry off the clip at the top of the hatch support with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Pull off the top of the hatch support
  2. step : Installing the New Hatch Support (1:50)
    • Load the clips into the hatch strut
    • Push the bottom of the hatch strut into place
    • Push the top of the hatch strut into place

Rear tailgate lift supports
Very easy installation. The ad says doesnt come with hardware but they do. They are all one piece with new clips. I didnt even remove the clips from the old ones like the video. I think the clips are just for cosmetic. Just gave the support a bit of a hit and they pop right off. Place the bottom in first with a good push. Pull up on the support and pop that on with a bit of a hit. All done 5 minute job. Now I wont get hit on head any more. Cold wind days were tough. A1Auto is the way to go.

Volvo lift gates for rear window
Ordered them on a Friday and got them on Wednesday. I took them to my Auto mechanic and it took him all of 3 min to install. The cost was amazing I saved over 160 dollars going through A1. They work fine . Im a believer in A1 you have yourself a customer for life . Art from Texas

Worked great !

Great product and easy to install thanks to the videos!
My husband and I just finished installing these on my Volvo in sub-zero temps, and I was thus very thankful for the “how-to� video which made this quick and simple! We found A1 while trying to “research� on YouTube how to replace the defective parts. Parts arrived within 2 days and appear to be great quality. Will be using A1 again, thank you!

Volvo liftgate supports
Easy to remove and replace the liftgate support struts on my 2004 Volvo XC90. These were half the cost of the Volvo parts and work great. Now my door raises on its own again and stays in the upright position until I bring it back down. No more having it fall and hit me on the head while loading!

Should include instructions.
Online video makes installation more difficult. You dont have to move the clips on the new struts, they simply snap over the mounting balls. Replacements work fine and installation was a snap. Will look to 1A auto in the future.

Great company
I called around to local auto stores for pricing and if they were in stock. They all said they have to order them. The lowest price I received was $160.00. I searched on line and found A1 Auto. They had the part cheater and in stock. They told me my part will be at no door on Saturday!! They were wrong it can on Friday a day earlier!!! Great surprise. I would recommend this company. Parts fit like a glove!!!!

I cannot be 100% sure, but they appear to be generic. I put on our 2008 XC90 and we previously owned a 2004 XC90. I believe the models are idential as far as the rear gate is concerned.

didnt install them. The 04 requires the attachment points facing in opposite directions. These attachments face the same way.

They worked well on my 2006 XC-90 and the information provided says they will work on 2003 thru 2013. Go for it.
