Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi I'm Mike Green, I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money preparing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years' experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
'99 to 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee taillights, pretty easy, just need a Phillips screwdriver and two screws there and down there. Headlight off the taillight almost wants to jump off now. Then I'm going to get it from the other side here, and the lights come out. See here there's a single connector. You can service the bulbs they just unlock.
They're a little difficult to turn but you can do it. I'm working back and forth and pull them out or service the whole bulb and service whole light, and you can see actually the screws go through there but then they go into these tabs here and that's what they actually hold onto it with, so this is just kind of a trim point.
Now, we want to connect everything back up, put that on. Lock that red tab and there is a little mounting ball lines up and goes right into there. You could see that ball goes right into there. That's in and that puts you back to this angle. Wrap that around. Screws going to go through. Whether you need to replace just the bulb or you want to replace the whole thing. That's how you do it.
We hope this helps you out. This video is brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person. Thank you very much.

I haven't installed them yet but inspected them and prepared them for installation by placing all new bulbs in the housings. I will be installing them within the next week. Hopefully it's the necessary fix! A very common issue on the early 2000s Jeep Cherokee is the brake light not working but the taillight does. This will be the second Jeep we had experienced this issue with. Hopefully it's not a wiring issue and this is the fit, as it was on my last Cherokee.
tail lights very nice!
