Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the third brake light on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. It's the same part and similar process on these Suburbans from 2000 to 2006. The items you'll need for this include a new third brake light from 1AAuto.com and a Phillips screwdriver.
The third brake light is held in with two Phillips screws. Just go ahead and remove both of those. Now, just pull the third brake light down, and you do have to maneuver it a little bit to get it down and out. Now, just lift up on this tab, disconnect the harness, and just remove that cover from your third brake light.
On the left is the old third brake light; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're going to fit exactly the same and have all the same mounting points.
Take that cover and put into place on your new third brake light. Now reconnect your harness, and then feed your third brake light back up into place. Once you've got it lined up and back in place, just replace those two Phillips screws, and you're all set.
