BHA53915 Axle / Spindle Nut Torque Specification

  1. step : Install the new hub (0:30)
    • Use a wire brush to clean up the steering knuckle
    • Install the hub and hand thread on the bolts.
    • Torque the bolts to 65 ft lbs, rotating between the bolts, tightening a little bit around and around so the hub goes in evenly.
    • Put the hub nut and washer in, tighten but do not torque all the way just yet.
  2. step : Assemble the brake (3:20)
    • Put the rotor back on on, putting a lug nut on just to keep it from jumping around on you while you put the caliper back together.
    • Bolt the caliper bracket back on.
    • Install the brake pads, using a little anti-seize grease on the mounting edges.
    • Compress the caliper with a C-clamp and install it onto the bracket and bolt it in.
    • Torque the hub nut to 175.
    • Have someone in the car put the car in four wheel drive and in gear and hold down the brakes while you do this.
    • Install the hub washer, retainer and cotter pin.
  3. step : Put your wheel back on. (7:20)
    • Put the wheel on and use a star pattern to hand tighten the lug nuts.
    • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts in a star pattern to 100 ft lbs.
    • Pump the brakes a few times to re-compress the caliper pistons.

Just like OEM
The hub fits just like the OEM hub I had put on the other side. Side to side you really cant tell the difference. The seal is nicely installed. I am ASE master certified with ocd. The first chirp I heard from the old bearing I hopped right on to 1aauto and glad I did. Saved money and would recommend to anyone considering it.
