  1. step : Door Panel Removal (0:58)
    • Remove clips and Phillips screws-one in the door handle and one behind the latch-that hold the door panel up.
  2. step : Removing the Water Shield (1:17)
    • Remove the clips-put the flat blade screwdriver behind them, give a big pull, and they'll come out. (You really want to try and take the water shield off all in one piece so you can put it back on.)
    • There are three or four different items that are screwed on top of the water shield. Just remove those Phillips screws.
    • Carefully pull the water shield off. Try not to rip it so that you can reuse it when putting the door back together.
    • (If you see there are holes on the tops of the clips, you can actually go from the side where they're solid.)
  3. step : Securing the Window (2:56)
    • There are two 10mm bolts in there, and those two bolts hold the window to the regulator.
    • Take the window and pull it up and support it, or have somebody hold it for you.
    • Loosen the two bolts. (DO NOT REMOVE)
    • Take some Painter's Tape and drape it right over the frame of the door.
    • Remove the two bolts. While removing them, hold the window.
    • Once the bolts are out, pull your window up and secure it with the painter's tape.
  4. step : Removing the Regulator (5:54)
    • Remove the top right bolt, loosening the top left bolt, removing the bottom two bolts, and loosening all three bolts on the far right.
    • Disconnect the window motor, and use a screwdriver to push through the pin on the window motor harness.
    • For the second pin, pull from the backside, and pull the window motor harness through the rest of the way.
    • Lift the motor up and off
    • Turn the regulator on its side, and then bring it right on down through the opening on the left side of the door.
    • Your regulator is out.
  5. step : Reinstalling the Regulator (8:16)
    • Make sure the bolts and motor are facing towards you.
    • Reach your other hand in through the opening on the top right, and pull the regulator through. Tighten all parts.
    • Pull the harness through the door and attach the clip, hooking up and tightening.
  6. step : Hooking up the Window (9:59)
    • Lift up window, and then slowly lower it down. (The window may twist).
    • Keep the window back against the door rail. The holes for the 10 mm bolts should be lined up on both sides.
    • Replace and tighten both, then reconnect your car window switch.
  7. step : Reinstalling the Water Shield (11:16)
    • Carefully replace the water shield using the same adhesive or a piece of tape.
  8. step : Replacing the Door Panel. (11:26)
    • Replace the door panel in the reverse order of how it was removed.

Window regulator/IACV
I ordered this regulator with an IACV. First off. UPS completely destroyed the outer box to the point where the flimsy single piece of tape 1aAuto uses to close it, wasnt holding it shut anymore. Also the new motor came with studs on it, unlike the OEM motor so I had to source nuts and could not re use my old hardware. Other than that the prices are great and so far the parts work well. Well see how long they last.

Install went well and is working great
When my window regulator died halfway open, I was freezing in the mornings. Once I ordered the new one, it arrived in about 4 days and using the video tutorial I was able to install it in about 30 minutes. It has been working great and the price was reasonable. Thanks, Jerry

Perfect fit
The how-to video was so good I decided I didnt need to look anywhere else. No problem at all with the part itself. My window had stuck in the down position, which made it very tricky to detach from the regulator. And I wasn;t too surprised when the new one went down only. My only disappointment was that A1 Auto was out of stock on the switch.

Perfect part
I was always skeptical about installing a window regulator or window motor. Watched the video. Part installed with ease. Wish I had found you guys earlier. Would of saved a lot of money when my passenger window regulator failed. You guys are the great..Thank you 1A Auto.

Customer Q&A
Ask a question to 1A Auto customers who purchased the product
My front drivers side door is completely missing the water shield sheet completely. Do you sell a new one or can you recommend a replacement? I think this allows an annoying draft that blows through the door.
Gary K August 8, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry! That is not something that we sell separately, and is only a dealer item. You can use a roll of plastic sheeting and make one yourself, which is effective and inexpensive!
