1999-2000 GMC Sierra 1500 Brake Backing Plate REAR for Models with Rear Disc Brakes PAIR for 1500 Models

This part replaces:

  • OE # 19178785, 19178786 x2
  • DORMAN 924-221

  • New

This, rear disc brake braking plate, or brake dust shield or cover PAIR, are new aftermarket parts. They bolt to the rear end and serve many functions including holding brake parts in place and keeping dust and road debris away from the backside of the rotors. Over time, the backing plates will rust away or become damaged from years of weathering and brake jobs. Why not replace your damaged or rusted out disc brake backing plates now and help bring back the integrity of your brake system!

Specifications:

  • Comes as a PAIR. Will fit BOTH the LH (driver) & RH (passenger sides)
  • Bolt to rear end
  • Made from stamped steel like originals, but coated with rust proof paint
  • Replaces dealer part numbers: 12472851, 12476287, 19178785, 19178786
  • Built to strict quality control standards
  • Will need to reuse original mounting hardware
  • Only fits vehicles that have rear disc brakes
  • Will not fit vehicles with rear drum brakes or with 4 wheel steering

Note: For 2007 truck models, the Classic Style has a crease down the center of the door skin where on the new body styles, the door skin is smooth. These parts are for the Classic style truck.

This rear disc brake backing plate PAIR are great replacements and have good cost savings over dealer units.
