Meet our Customer Service Team of Experts:

Bob has over 30 years of automotive experience and has been with 1A Auto for the last 5. He has compiled an impressive automotive resume including 9 years as a new and used parts specialist, plus time spent as a technician and salesman. Bob is involved in purchasing and product development and uses his engineering degree in evaluating product quality to ensure that we are only offering the best products available.

Bob has an interest in classic cars as well as motorcycles. His garage sports a 1969 GTO Judge and a 1998 Yamaha YZ400F. Bob's knowledge of auto parts interchange systems and hands on experience with wiring, differentials, suspension, manual transmissions and rebuilding engines make him the perfect person to evaluate the parts we sell.

Merle has been with 1A Auto since the beginning and runs the company with his two sons. Merle has a passion for General Motors' (GM) Pontiac Motor Division (PMD). He has been reading automotive literature (often GM or PMD), and working on cars for 46 years. He has completely restored 4 cars and has a 5th in progress, a 1964 GTO coupe which belongs to his wife. Merle's dream cars include a 1957 Bonneville convertible and a 1962 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty. If you need to know anything about '64 - '67 Pontiac GTO's or any '59 - '60 Pontiac, Merle is the guy to ask.

Merle has a large reference library covering almost every model of Pontiac from the 1930's to the 1980's. His current vehicles are all Pontiacs and include a '59 Catalina wagon, a '66 GTO "Tin Indian", 2 '66 GTO convertibles, a '74 Grandville convertible, and a '60 Bonneville Vista. Merle's other interests include collecting everything Pontiac, water skiing, baseball and politics. As a retired member of the United States Air Force, he also retains an interest in planes and flight.

Rob has been with 1A Auto in customer service and product management for more than 6 years. Before joining the 1A Auto team, he had 12 years of experience in the automotive industry, including time spent doing dealer part inventory audits, GM service and GM parts. Rob currently owns a few classic cars including a 1968 Pontiac Catalina and a 1975 Chevrolet Corvette coupe. Having spent many years in the industry with OE and different levels of aftermarket parts, he is proud to say that 1A Auto offers the highest quality in the aftermarket. Rob is into all things with motors in the water or on the land.

John is a sales leader who has 4 years of experience at 1A Auto and 34 years of experience in automobiles. He has been working on cars professionally since he was 15 years old and has held numerous management positions at different auto parts stores in the New England area. John does all of his own mechanical work without the use of lifts and specialty tools. His many years of experience, without specializing in any specific make, have given him a vast knowledge of nearly all makes and models. John loves watching sports, and his dream car is a 1969 Plymouth 'Cuda or a 1967 Cougar.

Mike has 19 years of automotive experience. He is 1A Auto's manager in charge of purchasing and product marketing, co-founded 1A Auto, and focuses on making 1A Auto a first class company. At the age of 14, he started the restoration of his first car, a 1964 Pontiac GTO. At some point Mike hopes to own a '67 Corvette, with a 427, for cruising around, as well as a '66-'67 GTO for his 1\4 mile car. He probably knows more about '60's era Pontiacs than anyone except his father Merle. Mike is a family oriented person who enjoys anything with a motor whether it flies, drives or floats. On a nice day you'll probably see him out driving with his daughter Ella in his '66 Pontiac Ventura.

Jeremy has enjoyed 4 years at 1A Auto as a product specialist with a very strong knowledge of cars dating back to the 1930's. Jeremy has an automotive degree and spent 2 years as an ASE certified technician at a local Cadillac dealer. Jeremy owns one of his dream cars, a 1964 Chevy Impala convertible currently under restoration. He also has heavily modified his 1989 Honda Hawk GT as well as a Dodge Ram 50 Pickup with a turbocharged Eclipse motor. Jeremy is a gear head to the full extent, and it would be a miracle if you own a car that he can't identify. Jeremy's custom work with fiberglass and metal fabrication has set him on fire more than once, but has not doused his passion to know everything there is to know about cars.

Brian has 15 years of experience as both a backyard mechanic and as professional in the automotive industry. Brian spent 4 years at an automotive technical school, 2 years in GM parts and service and 2 years in Subaru parts and service before spending his last 4 years at 1A Auto. Brian is our resident expert on Jeeps and has a lot of GM vehicle experience including a V8 engine swap on a Pontiac Fiero and a custom build on a 1970 Chevy Camaro. He also spends time cramming in as much automotive knowledge as he can from hands on projects, reading automotive literature and watching automotive television. He brings this experience to our call center as an expert customer service representative.

Mikko is a recent addition to our customer service team. He knows the importance of getting the customer the right part the first time. Before coming to 1A Auto, he spent 5 years in auto salvage learning fits and dismantling cars. His expertise includes many makes: GM, Honda, Nissan, Volvo, Acura, Chevrolet and Mitsubishi. Mikko's dream car is a 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with T-Tops and a 350. When he's not spending his time on cars, he's playing the guitar or enjoying a Red Sox game.

Scott is 1A Auto's business unit and sales manager. Scott has a degree in management and has been working at 1A Auto for the past two years spending time in the warehouse, business and data analysis, and sales. He has been involved with automotive mechanics for 8 years and enjoys working on and driving his 1963 Thunderbird and his 1985 Fiero GT. Scott's past projects include a monster 1988 K5 Blazer and an offroading 1980 Celica that spent more time in the woods than on the road. Scott is a huge fan of the New York Yankees and enjoys any baseball game he can find time to get to.

Lauren has been at 1A Auto for 4 years and has spent 6 years working on and around cars. She comes from a family of car enthusiasts and gained an affinity for GM cars as a teenager. Lauren received an automotive excellence award her senior year in high school and, since graduating, has kept her interest in automobiles alive. She spends many days throughout the summer at car shows learning about all different makes and models, but is usually fixated on finding her dream '70 Chevelle SS 454 4 speed, which she is determined to own someday. Lauren enjoys physical fitness, cooking, and working on her project 1960 Pontiac Ventura.

Dave has been in the automotive industry for 3 years and spent time working in a local Honda Shop. He enjoys customer service work as he likes learning from our customers as well as educating them. Dave is a guitarist and entertainer which is probably why he is so good with people and is very effective as a phone service representative.

Frank had been with 1A Auto for three years but has been playing with cars for about 17 years. It all started when he used to work along side his dad at the age of 14 ever since that cars have been his addiction. He currently loves to customize Imports including bodywork, paint, engine work, window tinting, and in-car electronics. He loves to spend time at the track whenever he can and loves street bikes. Frank's favorite bike is Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R and his dream car is the Porshe GT3 twin turbo AWD. He is currently driving a 1995 Acura Integra with an LS motor and a few mild modifications.

Craig's the new guy in town, and a bit of an odd-ball. He considers Mitsubishi's 4g64, a 2.4L 4-cylinder, a "Big Block"!!! He also prefers performance through technology, and forced-induction. Craig has been working on RWD Volvos, Saabs, and Mitsubishis since 1998, and has had many, many project cars during that time; his favorite being his 1996 Mitsubishi Galant which had a complete 1991 turbo-4g63 swap. Craig is currently working his on-going project Drag 1990 Eclipse Gs-T, and his 1999 Saab 9-3 which he uses for circle-track duty during the summer months.

Kevin joined 1A in December, 2006. Though this is his first venture into the automotive world, Kevin brought over 10 years of customer service experience to the team, with past positions ranging from serving the public to performing maintenance on large machines at a privately owned bowling alley. Kevin is passionate in getting what the customer needs right the first time, and quickly solving any problems they may have. In his free time, Kevin enjoys honing his skills on the guitar, piano, and singing. His dream car would be a 1997 Mercury Tracer or a 1998 Suzuki X-90.

Dan has two years of experience with 1A Auto. He has worked in the automotive parts field for more than six years, managing an auto parts store and working one on one with repair shops. He has been working on his own vehicles for nearly ten years and learned most of what he knows under the hood of a 1989 Camaro. When not twisting a wrench on his 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, he can usually be found tweaking his stereo, or playing video games. While his dream car would be a 1969 Chevy Camaro, he'd be plenty content behind another 3rd gen.

Carlos has been with 1A for one year and in the automotive parts field for over 8 years and is an ASE Certified Parts Specialist. His hobbies include spending time with his two daughters, sports, music, cars, reading, and watching movies. His dream car is the 2009 Nissan Skyline GTR.

Adam has been with 1A Auto for 2 1\2 years and has 7 years of automotive experience. He has an advanced knowledge of automobiles, specializing in drivelines and suspension. Adam currently drives a Jeep Wrangler and very much enjoys racing whether it be NASCAR, offroading, or downhill skiing.

Tony has been involved with cars for the better part of his life. He has been in automotive for 25 years, and started working in his dad’s auto body shop at the age of 10. Growing up as the son of an auto body man (and a Ford guy) he has become a 79-93 Ford Mustang Restoration specialist. If there’s a trim part or a question you need answered about a fox-body Mustang, he’s your go to guy. Tony currently handles the online marketing for 1A Auto Parts. He enjoys going to car shows, surfing, weight lifting, and attending NASCAR races.
