1938, Edsel Ford wanted a stylish new car for his vacation to Florida the following March. As chief designer, Bob Gregorie was called upon to design a radical new vehicle in which the Ford President could cruise around. Built in time for Edsel's holiday, the new vehicle raised the eyebrows of Ford's wealthy friends. A telegram arrived at the Lincoln factory, demanding immediate production of the vehicle. The Lincoln Continental was born. Considered a "Full Classic" the early 40-48 Continentals are some of the most sought after American vehicles in existence.
