How to Replace Windshield Wipers 2010-14 Volkswagen GTI

To start replacing the wipers, we're going to put the vehicle in service mode. So we're going to start by turning the key into the on position, and then turn it to the off position, and then push down on the wiper switch. On these wipers, you're going to pull them up so it makes it easier to replace them.

There's three tabs—there's one tab right here you have push and two tabs on the bottom. As you push the tab up, you pull it out. Now I'm going to reinstall them. You want to slide the windshield wiper into the tab until it locks, and make sure it locks all the way down, and then reposition.

The passenger wiper is the same procedure as the driver's wiper. And to take it out of service mode, after we're done replacing the wipers, we're going to put the key back in the ignition, turn it on, and then push down on the wiper switch.
