New Wiper Blade from 1AAuto.com How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, bent, or failing windshield wiper blade on 2008 Honda Civic.
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
The Civic actually had two different style wiper blades on it. Should have a beam blade, like this, but it's been replaced with a more conventional blade. Which is fine, it works the same.
To remove it, you lift it off the glass. Flip this over. There's a tab. This one doesn't get pushed down. You actually pull it up and unlocks it. And then you just slide it off the little J hook.
Then you can install your new wiper blade. Slide it up under the J hook part, line it up. This one didn't click but it locked into place. Put it back on your windshield. And it's swapped.
This is a beam type wiper blade. It's a little different. It's got an aerodynamic shell on it. To unlock this one, you take a small flat bladed screwdriver, pop this lock up. Then you just slide it down off the J hook, and kind of work it off.
Reinstall it. Slide the J hook inside of it. Pull it up. And push this lock down. It'll snap into place. Blade's locked on. And you're all set.
