Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a wiper arm on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. We show you on the passenger's side, but the driver's side is the same procedure. It's the same part and similar process on these Monte Carlos from 2000 to 2005. The items you'll need for this include a new wiper arm from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, and a 13mm socket and ratchet.

Start off by disconnecting the hose to your wiper arm. Just twist the hose free and then pry up this cap on the end of the wiper arm. Then remove this 13mm nut. Use a flat blade screwdriver and just pry in here to loosen up the wiper arm. Continue to do that as you pull up on the wiper arm to pull it free. Now, to disconnect the wiper blade, just pull the blade back, push on this tab, and slide the blade down and off the hook.

Up top is the old wiper arm, below it is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Slide the hook through your wiper blade and then slide the blade up onto the hook until it clicks. Then fit your wiper arm back down onto that stud. Then line it up where you want it and replace that 13mm nut. Make sure you don't over-tighten it, but you do want it to be firm. Then just replace the cap, and then you want to shorten this hose just cut it, then reconnect it. You're all set.
