Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you both how to remove the washer pump as well as the washer bottle and then reinstall them. Pretty easy operation. Need to obviously open up the hood. You'll find it at the back part of the firewall, basically, near where the passengers feet will be. You'll just need a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension. There's a 10mm nut here and there's one more underneath this AC pipe down here.
For the lower nut, I'm going to use a 3-inch extension, a deep socket. I'm just going to speed up here. For that lower nut, a little hard to see and a little hard to get too, you need to have the extensions and the sockets, but once you get to it, it should come off fairly easily. Then take off the upper one as well. Lift it off both of its posts, pull it out, and then jiggle it past. Now you can just unplug the tube from the washer pump and then it actually just pulls right out of the rubber grommet and out of the washer bottle.
Putting the gasket back in, the pump slides right back in, it snaps into the bottle. I'm going to put the hose back on the end. See it's not leaking so it's seated correctly. Reconnect the harness and your hose on the side of the bottle. If you go down sideways it seems to go down a little bit easier. Go around that bracket of that vacuum hose, and then find the studs on the firewall that it bolts to. Slide it back on. Put your two nuts back on. Okay and we'll fast-forward through here. Obviously, the top one is pretty easy to get on with your fingers. Bottom one, you'll want to do is load into your socket and use your extension, feed it in there carefully, and then put it on, and then tighten them both up nice and firm.
