Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the fluid level sensor. This is a 2008 Dodge Ram, but this sensor and this process is the same for many different Dodge and Chrysler vehicles. You'll need a new fluid level sensor from 1AAuto.com, drain bucket, flat blade screwdriver, and washer fluid.
Open your hood and locate your coolant expansion and washer reservoir bottles. Remove the feed tube on the bottom of your washer pump. Make sure you have a drain bucket to catch what comes out.
Disconnect the safety on your washer level sensor connector, and remove the connector from the sensor. Your sensor just needs to get wiggled out of the back of the reservoir.
Here's the sensor we removed from the vehicle. You just remove the grommet if it came out with it. Put it on the new one, the new part from 1AAuto, exactly like the original. It's going to install just like it.
Remove the grommet from your sensor and install into the hole in the back of your reservoir. Then install your new sensor. Reconnect the connector, install the safety, reattach your washer hose, and refill your washer fluid.
