How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a broken, damaged, split or leaking windshield washer bottle / reservoir cap on 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 Nissan Altima
Open the hood. The release handle is down on the left side, under the dashboard. Safety release is here, and the prop rod is hooked to the bottom of the hood. If your washer reservoir cap is broken or missing, you can get a new one from 1AAuto.com. It's as simple as you turn it counterclockwise to unlock the filler neck tube.
It will pull out of the washer fluid reservoir. Sometimes these break at the tether. Actually, you can see this one's getting a little weak but it's still there. So your new one, if just the tether's left here, you can just take it and pull it right off.
Install the new on in the same way. Push it on. Take your washer filler neck and place it in, and we're going to turn it clockwise to lock it. That's locked in. Put the cap back on, and it's replaced.
