How to install the rear hatch support struts on 12 Chevy Equinox
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Hi, guys. It's Sue, from 1A Auto. Today we're working on this 2012 Chevy Equinox. We have multiple listings for parts of this vehicle. Why don't you go to the webpage and check out what we have for your car at 1AAuto.com?
So now we're going to remove and replace the rear tail gate arm struts. When replacing the rear hatch strut arms, you're going to want to have someone to help you hold the tail gate. It's pretty heavy. And you take your flat blade screwdriver, guide it in that slot, and pull that clip out. Then grab it and push it out. Repeat the procedure on the bottom. Blade in there, and pull it out.
If you have a clip that comes undone like that, you just want to push it back down in place. There you go. Make the two ears fold in.
To reinstall the wrist rail, you're going to make sure the clips are seated, find the hole, and pop it in. To the other one—pop it in. Just repeat the procedure for the other side.
