In this video, we're going to be working with 2011 Chevy Camaro. We're going to show you how to remove and replace your vehicle's outer taillight bezel. This is the same on the passenger and the driver's side. If you like this video, please click subscribe. We have a ton more information on this and many other vehicles, and if you need this part for your car, you can follow the link down in the description over to 1aauto.com.

Here are the items you'll need for this repair: interior trim removal

Remove the three plastic tabs. This is called the tail lamp close-out panel. We'll use a trim tool for this. You can use the plastic one, or I have a steel one here. You can also do this with a pair of needle nose pliers or a flat blade screwdriver. Just lift the center tab up. You don't need to remove it fully. Then pop the base of it out. We'll do the same thing on the other two. Remove the closeout panel.

To remove your tail lamp bezel, I like to use a plastic trim tool. A lot of people use a flat-blade screwdriver for this, which isn't so bad for the top, but you'll see when we get along the sides and the bottom, we actually pry against the lens like this. And these plastic trim tools are actually pretty rigid, so they do a pretty good job of pulling these out without risking using a metal tool like a screwdriver, which could crack or scratch your tail light lenses. So just carefully work that out, all the way around. You've got your tail light bezel off.

Here we have our old tail lamp bezel that we removed from our vehicle, and our new part from 1AAuto.com. As you can see, with the exception of our new part being much brighter and shinier, the old part is exactly the same. We have the same six mounting tabs on it, and these tabs are very prone to breaking and cracking.

They are very delicate, so this new replacement is good for broken tabs or if you just have old, faded chrome on there, and you want to freshen up the look of the back of your vehicle, this is available on its own or as a kit with a new set of tail lights to really freshen up the appearance of your vehicle.

Line up your new tail light trim bezel and just push it in until it locks into place. Install your closeout panel and set the three tabs back in. Leave the tops popped up. Set the bases in fully, and you simply push them down and you're good to go.
