How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out license plate bulb to the 12 Nissan Murano

step 1 :Removing the License Plate Bulb
- Pry out the black plastic trim
- Pop the light out of the bumper
- Turn the socket counterclockwise
- Pull the bulb off of the socket

step 2 :Installing the License Plate Bulb
- Press the bulb onto the socket
- Turn the socket clockwise
- Pop the light into the bumper
- Press on the plastic trim

Change the license plate light bulbs. It'd be the same for both sides. It needs a plastic paring tool. You can get this from 1AAuto.com. Get behind this black plastic trim. Pop it out. Put that aside.
You're going to have to move this out. So actually it's easier to push it this way, and then sort of slide it out. Get it around that little hook part and pull it out. Turn this counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the bulb out.
This one actually needs to be changed. It's a 194 peanut bulb. Pull it right out.
Push the new bulb right into the socket. Take the lens. Turn it clockwise to lock it. Push this side in first. Actually no, it's got to go in this way. Catch that little hook there and then snap into place. I'll push the cover back on. That will click into place. I'll do the same for the other side.
