Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video we're going to show you how to replace a rear inside door handle on this Chevy Colorado. It's a pretty easy procedure. We show you the driver side. The passenger side's the same. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver.

First, there's two Phillips screws down there, remove those, and you'll also remove a Phillips screw right in there. We'll fast-forward here as I remove those three screws. Okay, once you pull this up there's a little button right here, just disconnect that harness. Start down here and pull firmly around and the panel comes off, up, and out.

If you need to switch your inside door handle. Slide it back. It comes out. For both of these, you have to unclip the cable first, and then turn and pull them right out. Unclip this cable. You have to move your lock back, twist that cable, pull it up and out, and your cable comes off.

The new handle from 1A Auto goes in the same way. Take the cable, and put it down in. Then you can let it twist a little bit. For this cable, do the same thing. Put it in, and then it just twists to hold itself in place. Get them in the groove in the housing, and snap them in. Then put the handle in the door and slide it forward.

With the door panel, make sure it's up on the windowsill here against the window. Make sure our wire's through. Kind of peek back in, and you see the clips go in. Okay, right around. We can plug our switch back in. Clip the bezel right back down and on. Put this one right back in place. We'll fast-forward here again as we tighten up those screws; like to tighten them up nice and firm. You don't want to make them too tight, you could break some of the plastic, but you want them nice and firm so that your door feels nice and solid when you open and close it.
