Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you where the engine air cleaners are located and how to replace them on this Camaro IROC-Z. No tools are necessary.
On these cars, with a tuned-port injection, air cleaners are located under here. Now, a lot of people that know about these cars are going to say: "This is kind of simple." And, yes, it is, but these videos are the for the people that either don't know about it or maybe you just got the car, or maybe you just want to see what one that's original looks like.
Originally, they come with these silver twist clips that you twist counterclockwise and they pop up. There are three on each side. Then, this whole assembly lifts up and there are our air cleaners two of them right underneath.
Grab the fresh air for the radiator, take them out, and then just put them back in. Make sure they're seated correctly back in. You have to kind of push this back a little bit and down. Push it down in place. Just like on anything, these are kind of broken a little bit so there's that one. Basically, just push them down and rotate them clockwise. Either they grab into something or they don't.
