In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the engine air filter on this 2001 Chevy Malibu, same as any 1997-2003. The only tool you'll need is a large flat blade screwdriver.
Okay, filter, large flat blade screwdriver, two screws right on this side. You can lift this right up. The filter comes right out.
At 1A Auto, we sell both the regular replacement and the K&N style filter. K&N style filter is a lifetime filter, you can actually clean it. We're just going to put this one back in because it's in pretty good shape. You put the filter back in and make sure it's down. Then there are tabs that go on the inside here, so you might have to lift up a little bit. You want to make sure this tab here goes in as well as this tab right back here. Tab is down in, push it down.
