Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
So if you've got one of these Cobalts and the fan is not working on all speeds maybe it works on one and four, but not the middle it's a pretty easy fix. You want to put a new resistor from 1A Auto in.
Right under your glove box, on the passenger side and above the passenger's feet, is the resistor right here. With your thumb you can pull on this tab here back and disconnect it. There's a tab right here. Pull back on that tab and pull down. There's a tab on the opposite side. You push towards the front of the car and your resistor comes right out.
Here's your original resistor, here's the new resistor from 1AAuto.com. Make sure when you put it up the lock for your harness is facing you. We just slide it up in and make sure both sides lock on the front and back, then reconnect to your harness, and you're all set.
